Let The Earth Feel Your Love
And may you feel the Earth's love...Thanksgiving, Canada, Oct. 2021
This post was partly inspired by a song by Michael Brunnock, an Irish singer in N.Y., written by a poet named Caitlin Johnstone, that I discovered recently and made me feel more at one with Thanksgiving…the song is called…
“A Blessing for Anyone” ….. (check it out! sorry I couldn’t copy the link)
And so I was called to add to its’ beauty at this time….
THANKSGIVING
To anyone and all out there….
With the changing seasons, here in the Northern Hemisphere, it is Thanksgiving…harvest and seed collecting, a time of abundance and fruits of the Earth and one cannot help but feel the Earth’s love and marvel at it.
I was despairing over the state of humanity and the insanity and divisions that seem to be prevailing, but the song, the poem and the richness and abundance we have been blessed with from this beautiful Earth overcame the sadness and confusion I was feeling and so that is the path I will take and let the rest slip away like a snake shedding an old skin.
Remembering that Thanksgiving on the shores of America several hundred years ago where people came together as humanity, overcame their differences and shared the Earth’s bounty….history can help teach us to hold onto the good.
A teacher once said to me, “if you are confused, congratulations!…That’s when you stop and make room for something more”…and so…
I let it go and sat in the moment, warmed by the sun’s love, curled up and let it hold me in its caress and gave myself to it. It washed away the stress and concerns I was feeling, the hopelessness and lack of positivity and it freed my soul from the ugly grasp of power seekers and breathed life back into me…
And so I give thanks…Thanksgiving…..to you all and to this wonderous Earth.
May we see, feel and understand the enormity and magnanimity of the love and giving of this Earth in her dance with Sun, Moon and the Cosmos and dance with them.
As always, a very inspirational message and beautiful art.
Hugs….Kathy
