“Creation”
It’s the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere, the shortest day in the Southern Hemisphere, time to hold the light, no matter what. Here dawn breaks when the birds go off at 4:30 am and dark comes in around 10:30 at night… we are spinning around, tilting towards the sun until the planet starts to tilt back on it’s axis on this longest day of the year here.
I don’t feel that I have much to offer lately but here is a little something …
I always do Solstice ceremony at my medicine wheel if possible. I also draw a big Muwahteh Circle in the sand on the beach and put symbols of things and people for whom I wish healing and well being in the center…well that is generally for the planet and all my relations so it is pretty full but there are a few specifics.
The Circle is an ancient teaching handed down through the Anasazi and their ancestors by my teacher Shanadii, Geronimo’s great granddaughter. It is a very powerful symbol encompassing every living thing on Earth and it is still danced in the Southwest in one of the most amazing ceremonies I have ever been part of and witnessed.
Anyway, it is all pretty amazing to be alive and a part of all of it and I feel small in its’ plan…the great plan on a beautiful planet.
Plan it? Yes, let’s do that…kind of like a New Year’s resolution but plan it with intent. What do we intend? Intent is a life force that creates the reality we inherit. Masters have always used that and individual and collective intention is a powerful tool.
My intentions are…
to hold the light and to make love in the universe…
I intend freedom of thought, body and speech.
I intend beauty, vitality and well being.
I intend health, wealth and healing for the Earth.
I intend creation on a regenerative model, giving with gratitude and creating with love and care for all life.
I intend love, joy, fun and kindness.
I intend appreciation for all beings, doing no harm.
I intend truth and hope.
…and there’s much more but words aren’t necessary. I think love and gratitude do it all.
Thank you to this beautiful planet and all it so generously gives us, let’s give back, care for it and all its gifts and its diversity of life…For All Our Relations.
“The Egg in the Nest”
So Happy Solstice to all you good beings out there for all you are doing to usher in a new paradigm…hold the light! …For now and all generations coming.
Love from the Pacific Edge, Susanne
Beautiful and affirming, Susanne. Thank you. I needed that!
